As much as I have tried, I just can't relate to Jack London's struggle. If Jack had enough time to read 15 hours a day, then he should have had enough time to go to school. I understand that it was boring for him, but school is boring for many people. I have always had the desire to finish school and advance on to college, so Jack's struggle isn't common ground for me. Granted, I do get bored with school sometimes but most people do. After all, what is so interesting about factoring a trinomial or learning about the mass of Pluto? I enjoy reading, if I'm reading a good book. I, obviously, don't enjoy reading as much as Jack since I don't have the ambition to read 15 hours a day. All in all, I simply cannot relate to Jack London.
